Whilst we have been away and forced to stop our tours, we have updated our Health and Safety Policy, Cleaning Procedures and a Customer Charter. In addition to this, Risk Assessments have also been carried out an updated for each procedure that we follow. An extensive clean of our premises has been completed and now we have been approved by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board as GOOD TO GO.

So whichever tour of ours you decide to join, your safety and the safety of our colleagues is our top concern.

Join us for our Best of Both tour where we have brought together the best sights and commentary from our five-star accredited Giant’s Causeway and Game of Thrones tours. Departing from Belfast on the morning of your tour, we will take you on a journey filled with interesting information and exciting adventure.

Firstly we venture along the windy and picturesque Antrim Coast Road stopping off in the quaint villages, Carnlough and Cushendun both rich in history and facts about Game of Thrones. After these villages, we will take you to The Dark Hedges and even if you are not a fan of Game of Thrones, pictures taken here always turn out to be some of the best in Northern Ireland. By late afternoon you will not only visit the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge with an opportunity to cross the bridge but also the  famous UNESCO World Heritage site, The Giant’s Causeway where you will be able to discover the unique stone formations face to face and, time permitting,  adventure along some of the cliff walks accessible from the visitor centre.

Summer schedule 2020 (March-October):

  • Check-in at 8:45am
  • Carnlough
    Series six of Game of Thrones saw Carnlough harbour feature for the first time. This harbour although built in the nineteenth century during the famine years, still retains an olde world charm, which meant that it didn't seem out of place when it first appeared in Game of Thrones.

  • Cushendun
    This is a stunning coastal location with incredibly rugged yet beautiful geological features! What happened in these Cushendun caves took many GOT fans by surprise. Melisandre's shadow baby was born here.

  • Dark Hedges
    This is now an iconic attraction in County Antrim it is now described as "One of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland and a popular attraction for tourists from across the world". The Hedges found fame when they appeared in the first series of Game of Thrones.

  • Fullerton Arms
    We stop at this popular restaurant for lunch (Not included in the cost of the tour)

  • Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
    They will be an opportunity to cross this Rope Bridge which was at one time used by salmon fishers. (Fee not included)

  • Bushmills Distillery
    Bushmills Whiskey Distillery Please note there is no time for the official Bushmills distillery tour.

  • Giant's Causeway
    There is no charge to visit this UNESCO World Heritage site.

  • Dunluce Castle
    We make a photo stop at this site now ruined medieval castle.

  • Return to Belfast at approx. 6:30 pm

There is a lot of walking on what are sometimes uneven surfaces during this tour. Please come dressed appropriately for not only the season but also for the activity.

Carnlough Village
Our second last stop of the day takes us into the picturesque fishing village of Carnlough for a quick comfort break. The village stop is a fitting end to your trip as you take in the quaint harbour used by pleasure boats and small fishing vessels in an area rich for both sea and freshwater angling.

Giants Causeway
Our first stop is the Giants Causeway, commonly called ‘the 8th wonder of the world', it is the only world heritage site in Ireland. During our stop here you can spend time climbing over the ancient stones, snapping photos and reflecting on the myths and legends of this very unique area. Entrance to the visitor’s centre is included in the price of our tour, gaining you access to the café, shop and allowing you to experience the history of the area including an audio guide to enhance your experience.

Bushmills Whiskey Distillery
Our next stop of the day is at Bushmills Whiskey Distillery which has been creating beautiful ‘water of life ‘ since 1608 making this the oldest working distillery in Ireland. Visit this place where family and friends have worked together for generations with the philosophy that handcrafting small batches is the way to create beautifully smooth whiskey. Your stop here allows time for tasting of course!

Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge
After lunch, we visit the amazing Carrick a Rede rope bridge – where you can, of course, cross the bridge which spans a chasm over 75ft in height. The lovely coastal path provides a spectacular walk with stunning sea and cliff views. (Fee to cross Rope Bridge is available with Premium option only)

Antrim Coast Road
The Antrim Coast Road is widely agreed to be one of the finest stretches of road anywhere in the world. The road hugs the coastline giving incredible seaside views, passing unspoilt beaches and sheltering under rugged cliffs. You may even see Scotland on a good day!

Dunluce Castle
We then make our way to Dunluce Castle for a photo opportunity. This now-ruined medieval castle sits perched on the edge of a basalt cliff and is one of the most picturesque castles anywhere in Ireland.

All that then remains to be done is to sit back and relax on the comfortable journey back to Belfast in one of our luxury coaches.   • Anything canceled within 12 hours will not be refunded.
  • Cancellation of some attractions may not be accepted. These are set forth by the attractions themselves and not Travel Ireland Coaches.
  • Please note, on occasion, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge may be closed due to inclement weather. If the rope bridge is closed on the day of your tour, a refund of £4.00 will be issued. To claim this refund you need to send us an email within 72 hours from the date of travel. (This refund is not applicable for discounted tickets/winter sale offer)
  • Travel Ireland Coaches are not made liable for any closures of attractions due to extreme weather.

Covid-19 Information:

  • All refunds for disruption due to Covid-19 that have been requested on or before 25th June 2020 will be processed by 30th June 2020.
  • Timescales for any refunds requested after 25th June 2020 will be communicated as soon as possible.
