The Links is perfectly situated on the North East coast of Northern Ireland. Unpredictable weather is an extra challenge here where weather conditions dictate the level of difficulty at each hole. The Dunluce Links, Royal Portrush was named after the medieval ruins of Dunluce Castle, another breathtaking attraction just a short walk away from the course itself. The ruins of Dunluce can be seen on the astounding 15th green, a popular view for tourists worldwide, you might want to stop here to regroup and enjoy the views of the crashing waves against the castle walls.
The Dunluce Links is maintained to PGA standards with greens being strategically replaced periodically to adhere to mother natures demands of shifting dunes and sands. The course has been changed to keep up with modern-day Championship standards under the stewardship of the golf architect Martin Ebert of Mackenzie and Ebert.
